IP Configuration

Go to System Setup > Network > IP Configuration to add or edit your IP settings. You can add settings for either IPv4 or IPv6 format. Use the table below as a reference for each field.

Description

IPv4 address:

The IPv4 format address of the WebTitan Cloud appliance.

IPv4 subnet mask:

The associated subnet mask for the network segment.

IPv4 default route:

The IP address of the next outbound hop from WebTitan Cloud.

IPv6 address:

The IPv6 format address of the WebTitan Cloud appliance.

IPv6 prefix:

The associated prefix for the network segment.

IPv6 default route:

The IP address of the next outbound hop from WebTitan Cloud.

Hostname

Go to System Setup > Network > Hostname to add or edit your hostname. The hostname is the short name (not the fully-qualified name) for your WebTitan Cloud.

  1. Enter the hostname for your WebTitan Cloud appliance in the Hostname: field.

  2. Click Save to apply your changes.

DNS Settings

Go to System Setup > Network > DNS Settings to add or edit your DNS settings. Use the table below as reference to complete the DNS Settings fields:

Description

Domain:

The domain name of the WebTitan Cloud appliance, e.g. example.com.

The domain and hostname is the same as the FQDN used to access WebTitan Cloud. For example, if the A record used to access the server is company.domain.com, the hostname is company and the domain is domain.com.

DNS Server(s):

Enter the IP address of the primary DNS server and the IP addresses of any secondary DNS servers (the primary DNS server should be the fastest DNS server accessible).

Click Add to add an IP address. All added IP addresses are listed below. Click the edit icon or delete icon to edit or delete an IP address:

DNS-Forwarding:

Use only if you have installed your own WebTitan Cloud and want to foward to your own DNS resolvers (default: disabled).

Cache Size (MBs):

The size of the cache to be stored (default: 300 MB).

Flush Cache:

Click Flush to flush the cache. A status message will display when cache has been successfully flushed.

Static Routes

Go to System Setup > Network > Static Routes to see details of any static routes that have been defined for your WebTitan Cloud.

Note

If you have complex routing requirements, you may need to manipulate network routing tables by adding static routes. However, static routes are generally not required.

Follow these steps to add a static route:

  1. Click Add and the Static Route window displays:

  2. Using the table below as reference, complete the Static Route window.

    Field

    Description

    Destination type:

    Select if the static route is for a Network subnet or a Host address.

    Destination:

    IP address of a host or network located outside the subnet of the WebTitan Cloud appliance, to which data can be routed.

    Mask:

    The subnet mask for the destination host or network.

    Gateway:

    The IP address of the next hop intermediary that can be used to reach the destination host or network.

    Active:

    Check to indicate this static route is active.

    Comment:

    Enter your comments on this static route.

  3. Click Save to save this static route or Cancel to close and discard changes.

Email Settings

Notifications from WebTitan Cloud are sent from a specified email server using a specified sender email address.

Go to System Setup > Network > Email Settings to specify the SMTP email server used to send email notifications, their frequency and the sender email address.

Note

Specify the email address to which notifications are sent for each policy in the Policies tab.

Description

Email Server:

Email server to which notifications from WebTitan Cloud are sent. WebTitan Cloud sends email notifications when users attempt to access blocked URLs or when system updates are ready for installation.

Notification Period:

The frequency at which notifications are sent to the specified email address. Select from Every 15 minutes, Every 30 minutes, Every hour, or Every 2 hours. Default is Every 15 minutes.

Sender Email Address:

Enter the sender email address you would like to display, e.g. notifications@webtitancloud.com.

Click Save to save any changes to Email Settings.
