Go to Settings > Device Configuration to manage device settings that affect all your OTG 2 devices.
From the Device Configuration tab you can:
Regenerate your OTG 2 install key.
Select a policy to automatically assign to new devices.
View and edit the global device configuration template. This JSON-based configuration template is the template used for new device configuration during installation. Changes made to this template are used during new device configuration. This configuration is also pushed out to all devices on your WebTitan Cloud that do not have any device-specific configuration applied the next time they connect.
Note
This configuration is not pushed to any device that has been given an individual, device-specific config.
Regenerating your OTG 2 Install Key
Follow the steps below to reset your OTG 2 install key. Once you generate a new key, the currently displayed install key can no longer be used when installing OTG 2 clients. Existing installations of OTG 2 are not affected.
Go to Settings > Device Configuration.
Click Regenerate and the following window displays:
Click Regenerate to delete the currently displayed install key and generate a new one.
Selecting a Policy to Assign to New Devices
Before installation, you can edit the global device configuration in WebTitan Cloud to specify a policy that is assigned to new OTG 2 installations. This is useful if you want to apply a particular policy you have created to a set of users, such as students or teachers.
Note
At the point of OTG 2 installation, the policy that is currently specified in Settings > Device Configuration > Automatically assign Policy to new Devices: is the policy that is used for the installation.
Example: You are rolling WebTitan OTG 2 out to students and teachers and want to apply a different policy to each group.
In this case, change the policy in the global device configuration to your student policy, e.g. OTG-student-policy, and then carry out the installation for your students. Once installation is complete and you have verified the users (students) have been added to WebTitan Cloud, change the policy in the global device configuration to your teacher policy, e.g. OTG-teacher-policy, and carry out the installation for your teaching staff.
Follow these steps to select a policy to assign to new devices:
Go to Settings > Device Configuration > Automatically assign Policy to new Devices:.
By default, None - inherit the default policy is selected. If this option is selected, one of the following options applies, depending on the parameters used during installation:
If OTG 2 is installed using default parameters only, the installation creates a virtual location. This virtual location will get the default policy applied if None - inherit the default policy is selected.
If OTG 2 is installed using the LOCATION_NAME parameter, where the location does not already exist in WebTitan cloud and is created during install using the LOCATION_NAME parameter, the virtual location is created and the default policy is applied to that virtual location.
If OTG 2 is installed using the LOCATION_NAME parameter, where the location already exists in WebTitan Cloud, then the "Automatically assign Policy to new Devices" feature does not apply. If the virtual location has a policy set, this is the policy applied.
To select a different policy from the default, choose that policy from the Assign a specific policy: drop-down menu. The menu shows policies that have already been created in the Policies tab. See Using Policies.
Click Save to save your selection.
Caution
The policy you select and save is the policy assigned to all new WebTitan OTG 2 installations until you change it again, or revert to the default policy.
Editing the Global Device Configuration Template
Go to Settings > Device Configuration to view and edit the JSON-based global device configuration template. Changes made to this template are used during new device configuration. This configuration is also pushed out to all devices on your WebTitan Cloud that do not have any device-specific configuration applied the next time they connect.
Warning
Incorrect JSON configuration can cause your OTG 2 devices to stop working, so please edit with caution. Once saved, the edited configuration is pushed to all your OTG 2 devices the next time they connect with WebTitan Cloud.
The window is an editor that you can click into and edit the content. The content is validated when you save and only valid JSON format is accepted.

When you have finished editing, click Save to save your changes and update the global device configuration template. The OTG 2 agent syncs with WebTitan Cloud every hour to get the latest configuration. OTG will also retrieve the latest configuration following a network change, or following a machine power event.
Click Reset to revert to the system device configuration template.

This is the global configuration template used for new device configurations. To edit the configuration for an individual device after installation, go to Settings > Device. See Advanced Device Configuration.
